Dr. Katie Bahr was born in Oklahoma, but grew up in Waseca, Minnesota. For her undergraduate studies, she traveled to South Dakota and majored in Animal Science at South Dakota State University (SDSU). Upon graduation from SDSU, Dr. Bahr continued to follow her dreams of becoming a veterinarian by attending the University of Minnesota. While Dr. Bahr enjoys a variety of aspects of veterinary medicine, she has fallen in love with small animal preventative care, behavior, and reproduction.
Dr. Bahr and her husband, live in a little white cottage on a hill with their four fur babies. Two rescue dogs, Zoey and Koda, they keep them very active outside playing ball. The two elderly cats, Sneaker and Mister Beans, keep them company while watching movies on cold nights. When the fluffy children get tuckered out, Dr. Bahr enjoys spending time playing board games, doing yoga, and paddle boarding with family and friends.
